This Disclaimer applies to Pomofocus, operated by Vektosys, available at https://pomofocus.vektosys.com (the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to this Disclaimer, together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1. General Information Only

Pomofocus provides a focus timer, task tools, and related productivity content for general informational and personal productivity purposes. Nothing on the Service constitutes professional advice of any kind, including medical, psychological, educational, legal, financial, or occupational advice.

You remain solely responsible for how you manage your time, work, study, health, and well-being.

2. No Guarantee of Results

Using a Pomodoro-style timer or any feature of Pomofocus does not guarantee improved productivity, focus, academic performance, career outcomes, or any specific result. Individual results vary based on many factors outside our control.

Reports, estimates, and statistics shown in the Service are based on data stored locally in your browser and are provided for convenience only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or lost if browser storage is cleared.

3. “As Is” Service

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vektosys disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Service or its servers are free of viruses or other harmful components
• Any content, timer accuracy under all device conditions, notification delivery, sound playback, or PWA behavior will meet your expectations on every browser or device

4. Browser Storage and Data Loss

Pomofocus stores your tasks, settings, and session history locally in your browser (typically via localStorage). We do not maintain a server-side copy of that data as part of normal use, and we cannot restore it if it is deleted, corrupted, or inaccessible.

You accept the risk that local data may be lost due to browser settings, private browsing, device changes, storage limits, software updates, or user action.

5. Notifications and Sounds

Browser notifications and audio alerts depend on your device permissions, browser support, operating system settings, and hardware. We do not guarantee that notifications or sounds will fire in every situation (for example, when a tab is suspended, the device is muted, battery saver modes are active, or permissions are denied).

6. Advertising Disclaimer

The Service may display advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are created and controlled by third parties. Vektosys does not endorse, warrant, or assume responsibility for any products, services, statements, or offers made by advertisers.

Focus techniques, timers, and productivity methods may not be suitable for everyone. If you experience stress, eye strain, fatigue, or other health concerns related to screen time or work habits, take appropriate breaks and consult a qualified professional. Pomofocus is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vektosys and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including loss of data, productivity, profits, or goodwill, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
